“The Juggler” is based upon the character in the Old Maid card game, which Reneé played in her youth. The grains captured in the off-white background remind Reneé of an old playing card. The flags are made from a French tissue paper that Reneé painted and then adhered to the painting. Did you have fond memories of playing Old Maid as a child?
